JR trained me to run a sound system when I began volunteering at my church. I do not have a sound tech background, and the majority of my training came from him.  JR was patient and always treated me with the upmost respect as I learned to run the house system and monitor board. He knew when to support and explain things to me, and when to challenge me.  I really value everything he taught me and his friendly, easy-going personality.

We have a fairly small but mostly OLD church building and wanted to upgrade the system that we had.   JR came out earlier this year to do an assessment and make suggestions.  He has major experience in helping those who know nothing about what they want or need.  He listens to your desires and makes it happen, or tells you why something in particular wouldn’t work.  JR worked hard to get a good fit at fair prices, not just something to sell us.  We even have open options to grow with what we have now, and our new equipment grows with us and won’t be obsolete next year.  Totally flexible in his schedule to meet with us and very accommodating in all things.  We wouldn’t hesitate to have JR or CLP come back and do more work in the future for us.  Nor would we hesitate to recommend CLP to anyone else.

We’ve worked with CLP many times. Recently JR has to step in and mix us FOH and did a great job. Always professional and a pleasure to work with.

I’ve been playing live music for most of my life all over the country. Sound engineers as passionate, talented, professional, kind, accommodating, and easy to work with as J.R. are few and far-between. He is one of the main reasons I love playing Champions so much; he makes the evening stress-free and my friends and fans always tell me that we sound better there than anywhere else. It is an honor and a pleasure working with such a pro; I wish he was our permanent engineer!!! I cannot recommend or thank him highly enough!!
